Little Berkhamsted is a civil parish and village located in Hertfordshire, England, situated around five miles southwest of Hertford. The village occupies a hilly area, standing at an elevation of roughly 120 meters (400 feet) above sea level. Notable features of the village include St. Andrew’s Church, which faces a row of weather-boarded cottages, and the final resting place of former Conservative cabinet minister Reginald Maudling (1917–79) and his wife, Beryl, in the churchyard.

In close proximity to the village, visitors can find an Elizabethan-era house and a brick tower known as “Stratton’s Folly,” which was built in 1789. The Domesday Book makes reference to the manor of Little Berkhampstead as “Berchehamstede,” which was held by Hardwin de Scales. St. Andrew’s Church, built from Kentish ragstone, dates back to the 12th century and has a wooden bell-cote that can accommodate up to three bells. While it underwent a complete rebuild in 1647, only a few remnants from that period have survived following a subsequent reconstruction effort in the 19th century.
